Rilee Mathilde is ONE!

I can't believe our little baby is one!

We had a fun day celebrating RILEE!

Alexa and Karli wanted to do a turtle or sea turtle theme for her...

(from her birth I have seen similarities in her to a cute cartoon sea turtle)

so I let them make the cake and help me make a fun poster :)

We opened a couple of presents when Tyler got home,

went to dinner, and invited Garrett and the Crumps over to "party" with us :)

Rilee has been such a joy to have in our family. 

We have nicknamed her "smiley Rilee" because the her big, instant smile.

She loves to cuddle, and loves to play and tease.

She is curious and into everything.

Rilee likes things with buttons--remote controls, phones, cars, music toys, etc!

She loves to dance and move to music and clapping.

Rilee has taken a few steps, but is in no hurry to walk.

She LOVES to climb onto our little rocking chair and rock, rock, rock!

We love our little Rilee Roo!

St. George March 2012

We stopped in St. George on our way home from California

for a two night stay!

Gotta' love sunny St. George!

and gotta' love swimming, hanging out, splash park, movie nights, more swimming,

and a nice visit to the temple and visitor's center.

It was a great end

to an AMAZING trip!

DISNEYLAND March 2012

We spent three fun-filled days at Disneyland while we visited California!

It was a blast!

First time seeing meeting the fairies and princesses...

Grandpa and Grandma Shelley and Aunt Ashley joined us one of the days!

The girls had fun going on rides with them and showing off their "bravery"

by going on some "scary" roller coasters :)

Alexa's favorite ride...SPACE MOUNTAIN!

She was so proud of herself for going on it, way to go Lex!

She was able to go on it a few times, and the last time we went, she kept her hands in the air and screamed :)  ...she told me that she was yelling and making noise like I always do.

Another favorite ride was the Buzz Lightyear ride,

Grandpa's favorite as well!

California MARCH 2012

California was wonderful

(as always)

We spent our first day meeting up with Tyler's parents and sister

at a resort they were staying at near Newport Beach for work.

We enjoyed the pools the first half of the day,

and then shuttled over to Crystal Cove.

No, we learned later that we shouldn't have picked up the starfish

...but cool huh?

There was all sorts of Sea Life in the tide pools.

It was really neat to see.

We made our own "tide pool" with reclining seats

and a little "Karli Sea Creature" to look at

This was definitely the perfect day.

Perfect spots to enjoy,

Perfect weather, and

Perfect people to be with :)

We also had a chance to visit Grandpa Shelley at his work!

Thank you Grandpa and Grandma for letting us come visit you! 

We had a great time!

Valentines Day 2012

Our family had a really great Valentines Day!

Alexa made this really cute box for school

(she was really excited that the teeth were wiggly just like hers were at the time)

We made valentines sugar cookies the night before

and "doorbell ditched" some people with them.

We made a yummy dinner and decorated the table all "fancy."

We enjoyed heart attacks and love notes and family time that day!

This wasn't exactly on Valentines Day,

but I thought is was so cute and thoughtful of Alexa.

Tyler and I found this on our bed in our room...

(she saved us TWO whoppers, one for each of us)  :)

This is just an example of the many notes and pictures we get from our girls.

They both LOVE to write and draw,

and LOVE to give them away to other people.
