Tyler's Birthday and some other random pictures

Happy 32nd Birthday
to the BEST hubby and father
in the whole world! :)
We celebrated Tyler's birthday in the morning before his work
with breakfast, presents, and cards!
He had a busy day at work,
and then went camping with his scouts.
So we didn't get to spend too much time with him
on his special day...but we thought about him a lot!

We love you!
Here are all four of your girls on your birthday
...celebrating for YOU (...without you)
Karli and Alexa making Daddy's sign
Mom and baby Rilee
Karli and her friend Owen looking for bugs
...Karli is terrified of bugs
...but hopefully summer will cure that!

Alexa is quite the photographer...
she is always asking to take our pictures

Some of the neighbor friends were playing on our tramp with Alexa and Karli...
We are all so happy to have a trampoline!
(Tyler was out monitoring the kids)

Our neighbors have a tramp right on the other side of our fence,
and they have a lot of fun jumping on the two tramps together!
(if you look hard enough you can see them jumping over there)

Alexa is FIVE!

The main thing Alexa wanted to do
for her birthday was get her
EARS PIERCED!
We went the night before her birthday,
and she was so excited
and so brave!

The morning of her birthday, we celebrated a little before Tyler went to work.
She opened presents and we made her feel special :)
For her party this year
(which she had been planning for about six months now!)
she was excited to have a RAINBOW PONY PARTY!
Her birthday ended up falling on a playgroup day,
so we had it during playgroup!
Alexa with her friends...and her rainbow cupcakes!
yes, even the cake part is rainbow!

Alexa had a game on her birthday!
Go Alexa!

Karli found some of the best places to watch the game that day! :)

April Happenings

Our three beautiful daughters above...Alexa and Karli LOVE Rilee so much!
Rilee is a lucky girl!  Can you believe how big Alexa is holding Rilee like that?!  We can't :)  She is SO GOOD with Rilee!  Every time Karli sees Rilee for the first time after a little while she says, "Can I see 'Wy-lee'?  Oh, she is so cute!"  :)

It's really fun watching little Rilee sleep
...especially when she smiles...
"talking to angels" is what my grandma used to say!

she is getting so strong!

Alexa and Tyler had another soccer game!
and here is Karli watching the game...
(Alexa is running in the background!)

Alexa was goalie for half of the game...
we had to keep reminding her to pay attention to the ball because it was so easy to get sidetracked :)
Here she is sitting IN the goal!

a nice little pose for the camera...
making a save!
Here is Alexa and her best friend Merry
at the end of their gymnastics class!

Karli and I were able to enjoy the ONE nice day this week
in our backyard!
We got a trampoline...yippeee!...but haven't put it up completely yet.
No worries though...
the girls have enjoyed playing on it like the bars at gymnastics!

We can't wait for all these APRIL SHOWERS to turn into MAY FLOWERS!
Hopefully we can say "ADIOS" to this cold, wet weather soon.

egg hunt and egg heads

We went to our annual neighborhood egg hunt
We were a little late,
missed the start or the hunt,
but luckily still found some eggs!
And then we enjoyed breakfast at the park with everyone!
So much fun.

We also made our eggheads again!
click below to see our first attempt at making them
We made them just in time, but not as early as we'd like
(the grass hasn't had enough time to really grow thick...
I thought we had another week before Easter!)

This year we decided to add another step to the process
by making individual holders for each egg
...not sure if we will do it again,
but the girls sure had a blast putting them together
and painting them!

The egg heads all ready to grow
with potting soil and wheat grass seeds inside...

And here are the egg heads as of today
with hair growing and happy faces smiling :)

Had to add a "funny face" picture
of our three darling daughters!

Grandma K's Horses

Alexa and Karli had a good time
riding their Grandma's horses
for the first time this year!
They are so lucky to have the chance to grow up around horses
They LOVE it,
and LOVE spending time with their Grandma!

and Rilee was cozy and warm in her sling...

Thank you so much Grandma!
We had a lot of fun!
